I am a webbyworkaholic who has had a long term love affair with the internet and worked in the fields of network administration, internet development and eMarketing for almost fifteen years.

digidude is my brand for myself in my journey through the internet. My platform for sharing interesting things I come across and insights I have about just where the internet is taking us.

I have always tried to have a holistic understanding of the internet and in recent years how to harness it for better productivity and more effective communication and marketing.

As connectivity to the internet improves and with the advent of social media and web based SaaS applications the internet has really become popular – that’s not to say it wasn’t popular before but it has evolved at an amazing pace in recent times and is bound to continue as more users come online.

What was thought impossible ten years ago and happened in years just years ago now happens instantly and millions of people are in waiting to jump at anything that shows potential and communicates to them just as they want.

How do we continue to break barriers of the past? How do we grab the attention of users in a disruptive environment? What works? What doesn’t? What’s fuelling the evolution and who’s behind these efforts? How do we keep people interested in what we have to say? What tools help harness the convergence?
